I can't explain exactly why, but that bike was GREAT for lane-splitting and slow-speed riding. Much more confidence-inspiring than the Shadow 750. It's fine for anything you'd expect a scooter to do, but after 65mph, forget about it. My VLX600, wide-open throttle, stopped at 72mph.

The carburetor Shadows uses is a high-velocity carburetor; air intake is what lifts the linage and causes the revving instead of the carburetor slides.

Standard: $7699 MSRP. ABS: $7999 MSRP. 2020 Honda Shadow Aero Buyers Guide: We have the specs and prices for this durable urban cruiser, plus a concise ride review. My dad owns a 1100 shadow, he weighs about 200# and loves it. It's rather large for me (I weigh about 170, and ride a 98 Honda Magna 750), but it was still the first bike I rode, and I did fine on it. At your weight you're going to want something that has some raw torque behind it, and the 1100 will definitely get the job done. DonAuA.
