Hi - I have a 2012 Audi Q5 with approx 75,000 miles on it. Two weeks ago I had my 75K service at the dealer. A week later my check engine light went on. I took it to the dealer thinking it was linked to the recent service. Turns out the car registered a P0299 code and that I would need a new turbo charger at the lovely price of $3600 installed.
An Audi Q5 Check Engine Light Diagnosis & Testing costs between $143 and $180 on average. Get a free detailed estimate for a repair in your area.
1. Misfire. Vehicle Speed: A Misfire can be felt at any speed, but is most noticeable at low RPM. A misfiring engine is one of the most common reasons your Q5 will shake when accelerating. A vehicle’s ignition system consists of spark plugs, coil packs, and maybe plug wires. If it is an older model, it’ll have a distributor and coil instead

Opened the hood, closed it, and the light went off. Give that a shot. This option just worked in my case. I confirm I opened and closed the hood and the oil level warning went off. Before doing so, I have checked the oil level with the Vag (Engine->Measure> option 9) and the instant reading of the oil level was above the minimum threshold oil

Now, lets look at the common causes of a low coolant level message. 1. Coolant is Below the required level: The first and most common cause of a low coolant message is simply that your coolant level is below the minimum required level, This is straightforward check your coolant reservoir, and if it is below the minimum, top up with anti-freeze. 2. 2014 Q5 2.0L with 131K miles recently started to show intermittent Stability Control Failure followed by TPMS light. Stays on for a short period ( typically < 2 minutes) then goes off. Understand TPMS is part of the ESC. Multiple codes are set when scanned (I didn’t scan, shop did). Check engine light eventually comes on.
If you add oil to the fill line and the light still persists, this means the issue is with your oil pressure, not the quantity of oil. Oil pressure is created by the oil pump, so your oil pump is likely malfunctioning. A clogged oil filter can also prompt the oil light to come on. This is a relatively easy fix.
SAE P2404 = VAG 18836, which is the following: Evaporative Emissions System. Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80 , checking. Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister system, checking for proper seal. Leak Detection Pump. Leak Detection Pump (LDP) V144 , checking. P2404 Leak detection pump check: Reed contact open.

2 additional valve part #'s associated with coolant transmission leak. My service adviser is recommending the following 2 components to be replaced in association with this problem on my 2011 A8 with 68,000 miles. 059-121-012A WATERPUMP/COOLANT. 4H0-121-671-D COOLANT VALVE.
